To support our customers we established a comprehensive set of courses featuring different levels of education based on the customer need. The full set of courses we deliver are divided into the following course categories:
Executive Briefings – Overview (two to four hours) on a specific topic related to your process improvement needs. Generally limited to a small group of executives or management personnel to ensure maximum interaction and understanding within the shortest amount of time. Our modular approach to building course content allows us to combine materials and tailor the briefing to best suit your needs.
Seminars – Our Seminars are designed to provide staff at all levels with the information they need to make sound decisions toward process improvement. Whether you are considering initiating a program or you need to focus on specific improvement areas, ISD offers a seminar that’s right for you. These one or two day modular courses are desinged to povide purpose, structure and application of reference model and process improvement activities (e.g., process definition, measurement, EPG, etc.) to help practitioners improve the business processes of their organization.
Training – These 3 day courses are officially licensed to ISD through the Software Engineering Institute or otherwise officially sanctioned is by some external source outside of ISD. We are licensed to deliver the SEI’s Introduction to CMMI-DEV v1.3 and SCAMPI Team Member Training as well as the eSCM-SP Model Training developed and license to us by ITSqc, LLC. These courses help prepare the participants to use the process improvement models, appraisal and evaluation methods in their organizations.
Workshops – Need to hone your technical skills while actually developing your process infrastructure? Our workshops provide customer-specific, hands-on guidance in a variety of topic areas. These 3 to 5 day, workshops provide students with a framework and techniques for developing and introducing new processes or technologies into an organization. The focus is on implementation in specific application areas such as acquisition, process monitoring, and internal improvement. Case studies for each application area are used to further communicate the concepts being delivered to the participants.
