Client Concern

A medium sized, fast growing supplier of defense products and services, primarily to the U. S. Army, needed to standardize their back office departments and operations to better support the organizational growth and meet line contract needs.

ISD Solution

The client chose CMMI for Services to improve its internal department processes for IT, HR, Proposals, Contracts, and Security, amongst others. ISD proposed an integrated improvement program, including set of interim evaluation appraisals leading to formal Benchmarks using our Appraisal Wizard tool suite and a Certified Lead Appraiser and Consultant. Tasks included a set of Consulting, Training, Appraisals, and Tools.

Outcome

ISD successfully led the organizational business unit through CMMI V1.3 ML2 for Services for 4 departments, CMMI V2.0 for Services for 6 departments, and CMMI V2.0 ML3 for Services for 8 departments. Their Benchmarking success was validated by their Performance Report and continued operational growth in line with Senior Leadership business goals. ISD worked with the client through three Benchmarking cycles and the relationship continues.
