ISD Divests ISD Brasil

ISD completed a significant change in December 2015. ISD, Inc. has divested all of its interests in ISD Brasil. Carlos Caram, now President and CEO of ISD Brasil, leads ISD Brasil as an independent company. ISD established ISD Brasil as a subsidiary in 2000, and Carlos has led ISD Brasil for its entire existence. ISD Brasil will continue its well-deserved leadership position implementing model based process improvement programs for customers in South America and elsewhere around the globe.

Paul D. Byrnes, ISD President and CEO, discussed the benefits of this change. “For our long term customers, this change will be transparent. Carlos has always been the face of ISD Brasil, and he will continue to lead ISD Brasil going forward. As an independent entity, Carlos can make rapid adjustments and strategic decisions that ensure ISD Brasil meets customer needs in his region.

ISD will continue to team with ISD Brasil on many shared initiatives, including our process improvement software tools, and our Integrated System Framework (ISF), which is a meta-model enabling significantly more efficient multi-model initiatives. We look forward to supporting ISD Brasil’s growth, and continuing our long and successful relationship.

ISD Leadership Change

At the conclusion of 2015, ISD completed a significant change in leadership. Joseph F. Morin, the long-standing CEO of ISD, officially retired, and Paul D. Byrnes assumed the CEO duties. Paul, along with Joseph, was one of the founding ISD Principals, established in 1994.

Paul D. Byrnes, formerly the ISD CTO, and now the ISD President and CEO, talked about the recent ISD changes. “My long time business partner, Joseph, has been preparing for retirement for several years now. In light of this, and the on-going maturation and evolution of our process improvement industry, the company has been restructuring its operations for quite some time. This leadership change culminates a plan that we embarked on in 2013 and executed with a flourish to close out 2015. We wish Joseph a long and healthy retirement, and look forward with great excitement to the next chapter of ISD’s growth.”
