ISD Announces Strategy to Migrate Clients to Version 1.2 of the SEI’s CMMI® Product Suite

Appraisal Wizard® V7.0 enables an efficient transition with minimal disruption to process improvement plans.

POCASSET, Mass. (November 14, 2006) – Integrated System Diagnostics, Inc. (ISD) today announced the release of their product and service migration strategy in response to the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI’s) recent upgrades in the Capability Maturity Model Integration® (CMMI®) product suite. In addition to changes in training and process improvement services available from ISD, organizations using ISD’s Appraisal Wizard® V7.0 will be able to leverage product features to achieve an efficient migration with minimal disruption to process improvement plans.

Elements of ISD’s migration strategy include:
upgrade the skills of the ISD professional staff that work with clients
update ISD training materials and support assets
provide the capabilities necessary to ensure a smooth transition.

ISD senior staff received CMMI V1.2 and SCAMPI V1.2 upgrade training at the CMMI 2006 Workshop hosted by the SEI in Charlotte, NC in October, and the NDIA 7th Annual Technology Conference in Denver this month. These individuals are now qualified to deliver services using the new models and methods. Senior staff have also completed SEI requirements necessary to deliver appraisals to high maturity customers. ISD anticipates completion of all professional staff training by the end of Q1 2007.

“As the technology and the market continues to mature, ISD investments in professional development and appraisal automation continue to payoff by protecting customer investments in maintaining appraisal readiness,” said Jackie Lawrence, ISD’s Product Line Director. “Our professional staff and tools are considered the best in the industry and continue to deliver reliable, high quality services leading to lowest risk improvement program implementations.”

ISD will begin delivery of the Introduction to CMMI V1.2 to its clients in December 2006. The SEI’s Intro to CMMIV1.1 course will no longer be offered by ISD. Other training available from ISD will reflect the changes brought about by the new model and methods by the end of Q1 2007.

ISD’s Appraisal Wizard V7 will ship with CMMI V1.2 pre-loaded at no extra charge. For current Appraisal Wizard customers, a “model map” is provided that automatically maps existing CMMI V1.1 Staged and Continuous Process Implementation Indicator Documents (PIIDs) and Objective Evidence to CMMI V1.2. Both of these features are included in the Appraisal Wizard upgrade package.

“This is one of several transitions undertaken by ISD to ensure our clients receive the most current information in the most timely manner,” said Albert Soule, ISD Director of Business Development. “As a result, ISD continues to receive high ratings for quality and customer satisfaction by providing efficient, high quality services.”

Software Engineering Institute, to Deliver Keynote at the 3rd ISD
Brasil Customers Conference
Dr. Nielsen to present “The Future of Process Improvement – The Three
Dimensions of Growth.”
POCASSET, Mass. (September 18, 2006) – Integrated System Diagnostics, Inc. (ISD)

Carnegie Mellon University, will deliver the keynote address at ISD’s 3rd ISD Brasil Customer
Conference, September 20-22, 2006 at the WTC Hotel, Sao Paulo, Brasil.
Dr. Nielsen’s presentation, “The Future of Process Improvement – The Three Dimensions of
Growth,” is intended to motivate firms to apply CMMI-based process improvement principles as
an enterprise solution-across functional disciplines, up and down supply chains, and deeper

opportunity to adopters of CMMI-based process improvement services.
“Bringing an enterprise perspective to model-based process improvement programs helps
organizations adopt a more disciplined approach to software and systems development,” said Dr.
Nielsen. “Our mission is to help organizations identify opportunities to put improvement models to
work, and realize business benefits beyond those achieved in the software engineering
organization.”
“We are pleased Dr. Nielsen has agreed to deliver the keynote address at ISD’s Customer
Conference,” said Albert Soule, ISD Director of Business Development. “This is a highly relevant
message for our customers to understand as they formulate their improvement goals and

ISD Announces New Generation of Appraisal Life-cycle Management with the Release of Appraisal Wizard™ V7.0
Wednesday September 6, 9:00 am ET
V7.0 offers advanced functionality to those responsible for enterprise process compliance management activities.

POCASSET, Mass., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/—Integrated System Diagnostics Incorporated (ISD) today announced the release of Appraisal Wizard™ V7.0, delivering advanced functionality to those responsible for all enterprise process compliance management activities—from informal readiness reviews to full benchmarking appraisals or audits. This new functionality continues to improve the quality and reduce risks of compliance audits and other formal appraisal results by standardizing and automating key process activities.
Responding to user feedback, ISD has added new features and enhanced existing ones that improve overall compliance management and typical appraisal activities—plan, prepare, conduct and report. ISD has improved Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) support with additional features and made significant interface and security feature improvements to better support the user.

Improved capabilities include:

* Enhanced planning and scheduling features for estimating, managing

appraisal or audit process activities and monitoring key milestones.

Collecting time measures and reporting performance results against plan

is also supported.

* New evidence-mapping features to quickly map new evidence directly to

the reference model or standard and to maintain ongoing compliance

readiness.

* Improved user “time-to-effectiveness” with new, user-selectable “look

and feel” interfaces, including new administration features, control

features, data presentation and reporting capabilities. The learning

curve has never been steeper.

* Maintain data integrity by employing new security and access control

functions.

“Appraisal Wizard V7.0 delivers the capabilities needed by our customers by extending key tool functionality and improving usability,” said Mike Simmons, ISD’s Vice President of Software Products. “Automating key compliance management activities enables users to focus on the quality and comprehensiveness of the results.”

Herndon VA and Salt Lake City UT, May 1, 2006—The Systems and Software Consortium, Inc. (SSCI) and Integrated Systems Diagnostics Inc. (ISD) today announce a partnership that will extend the Consortium’s work with its member companies to efficiently use and demonstrate compliance with multiple process and quality frameworks. The agreement is being announced today by ISD at the 18th annual Systems and Software Technology Conference (SSTC) in Salt Lake City, Utah, and by SSCI via wire services.

Under the agreement, SSCI and ISD are working on several tool enhancements to be included in future market releases of ISD’s Appraisal Wizard technology; other upgrades will be available only to SSCI members. Beginning in August 2006, SSCI will also populate Appraisal Wizard with additional process models and mappings and offer services to help members incorporate additional models and map them to frameworks beyond the CMMI®.

“This partnership is an important extension to SSCI’s comprehensive process improvement practice, which focuses on enabling members to improve their business and engineering methods,” says Roberta Chagnot, SSCI Vice President of Member Programs. “Working with ISD, we are embracing a unique, proven, and robust COTS package to provide members an integrated approach to relate their own processes to multiple frameworks and facilitate the assessment of their processes against these frameworks.” SSCI’s practice already includes expertise in diverse frameworks such as CMMI, ISO 9001:2000, IEE/EIA 12207, RTCA DO0178B, and ISO/IEC 15939.

“We are delighted that SSCI is extending our Appraisal Wizard tool suite to its membership,” says Albert Soule, ISD’s Director of Business Development. “We believe our technologies integrate perfectly with SSCI’s approach in helping its members advance the effectiveness of their systems and software processes. We are proud to be a part of this program.”
