General

1. ISD is a Software Engineering Institute (SEI) transition partner. ISD has operated under a variety of Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA), commercial licenses and other agreements in order to support SEI’s mission to transition SEI process improvement training and services to industry.
2. ISD is currently an SEI approved transition partner for delivering the Introduction to the CMMI course, SCAMPI method training and services.
3. ISD is currently licensed by Carnegie Mellon University’s ITsqc to deliver the eSourcing Capability Model for Service Providers (eSCM-SP) introductory course and to conduct eSCM evaluations.

Appraisal and Process Improvement Experience

1. ISD core staff have more than 120 -person years’ experience in systems and software process improvement.
2. ISD staff have participated in or led over 350 process appraisals, within many different application domains, organizational sizes and types.
3. ISD has current, relevant experience with companies developing process infrastructure at all maturity levels.
4. ISD staff are recognized high maturity experts.

Appraisal Method Development
1. ISD staff were team members of the SCAMPI v1.3 method upgrade development.
2. ISD staff were members of the SCAMPI V1.1 method core development team at the SEI and contributed ISD’s proprietary Comprehensive Appraisal Method (CAM), one of several source methods of SCAMPI V1.1. CAM is an ARC Class A, B, and C compliant appraisal method. Results can be accepted by the SEI. Visit the Appraisals section and Members pages to learn more about CAM.
3. ISD staff have developed a number of proprietary appraisal methods with supporting training, tools and other enablers for key clients with unique appraisal goals. Contact ISD for more information about method development.
4. ISD staff contributed to the development of, provided training for, and delivered all published versions of all SEI appraisal methods, including the SCE V3.0 method which is jointly owned by ISD and SEI.

Appraisal Training

1. ISD was selected by the U.S. Air Force and Defense Logistics Agency to train personnel using appraisals for source selection.
2. ISD has delivered over 80 public CMMI training courses, both the Staged and Continuous representations to more than 1400 people.
3. ISD staff contributed to the development of the SCAMPI Lead Appraiser training.

International Experience

1. ISD was selected by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense to train personnel using appraisals for source selection.
2. ISD operates globally through a South American subsidiary, ISD-Brasil. ISD reaches Europe and India through our strategic partners.
